President Hashim Thaci announced Tuesday that he travelled to Brussels leading the Kosovo delegation consist of Speaker of Parliament Kadri Veseli, Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, and his three deputies, Behgjet Pacolli, Fatmir Limaj, and Dardan Gashi. According to Thaci Kosovo institutional leaders travelled to Brussels at the invitation of the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Policy, Federica Mogherini, to attend the next meeting of the final phase of dialogue on normalisation of relations between Kosovo and Serbia.
President Thaci’s press release implies that Kosovo leaders will attend talks with Belgrade, but leader of Nimsa party and deputy prime minister, Fatmir Limaj, said last week that institutional leaders will meet with the High Representative, Federica Mogherini. He confirmed that only President Hashim Thaci will meet his Serbian counterpart Aleksanadar Vucic in the frame of the EU-facilitated dialogue in Brussels. According to President’s Office the delegation of Kosovo is composed of all institutional leaders who are also leaders of ruling coalition. Of all leaders of coalition partners, Limaj was against Hashim Thaci to take the leading role in dialogue with Serbia, however he decided Tuesday to join coalition partners and become part of the Kosovo team in the dialogue with Serbia. /Express/
