Kosovo’s President Hashim Thaci is expected to meet today in his office political representatives of the Presheva Valley. The second visit within a month of the political representatives of the Albanian-run municipalities in Serbia – Presheva, Medvegja and Bujanoc, comes amidst the debate in Kosovo on exchange of territories between Kosovo and Serbia. Thaci is proposing a correction of border with Serbia saying that the Presheva Valley will join Kosovo.
Kosovo President Hashim Thaci told media in Kosovo that he will address the Presheva Valley issue during the dialogue with his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic in Brussels. According to Thaci Kosovo should start demarcation of border with Serbia and during this process he is expected to raise also the issue of the Albanians living in Serbia. In a televised interview last week, Thaci said that there will be no exchange of territories or partition of Kosovo, insisting that “correction of border” with Serbia is the best solution to Kosovo-Serbia relations. Officials of the Presheva Valley will met Thaci in his office and are expected to appear before media. According to President’s Press Service the meeting will be held on Monday at 12:00. /Express/
