The Civil Society Group, an NGO collecting evidence about war crimes committed by Serbs in Kosovo in 1998-99 war, has submitted on Wednesday new criminal complaints to the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo identifying 700 Serbian individuals suspected of committing these crimes.
The head of the NGO, Shkendije Hoda accompanied by Mevlyde Saraqi and other activists have submitted today at the Prosecution office new criminal complaints and have managed around 700 Serbs who are suspected of committing war crimes mainly in the region of Gjakova. “We have submitted criminal reports from the secret Serbian files of the officers who acted in Kosovo during 1998-99 war. Over 700 members of Serbian police and military have been identified in these files who during the war have operated in the Gjakova municipality,” Hoda told media. Also the Civil Society Group has sent a letter to the Government of Kosovo asking the authorities to ban Serbs from visiting the Orthodox Church in Gjakova on 6 January 2019.
