Speaker of Kosovo Parliament, Kadri Veseli, during a visit to Vienna met on Thursday his Austrian counterpart, Wolfgang Sobotoka. According to Veseli’s Office Austria will support visa liberalisation for Kosovo
The Speaker Veseli thanked his Austrian counterpart for the continuous military, political and economic support of Austria. Veseli asked Austria to support Kosovo to get visa liberalisation with the EU Schengen area. “We need Austria’s support in our EU integration path. The Republic of Kosovo has fulfilled all the criteria on visa liberalisation therefore our citizens deserve to move freely in Europe. We expect that by the end of this year our citizens will finally enjoy visa-free regime in the EU Schengen area,” said Veseli according to a press release issued by his Office.
Austrian Speaker of Parliament, Wolfgang Sobotoka, valued Kosovo’s development in all fields, and expressed readiness that his country to continue supporting Kosovo in the future. “Austria supports Kosovo in its EU integration path. Austria supports Kosovo also on visa liberalisation process and we are ready to continue this support on waving of visas, if assessed that all criteria have been fulfilled,” said Sobotoka. The Speaker Veseli, accompanied by MPs of ruling and opposition parties is visiting Austria as part of the lobbying activities to convenience the EU member countries that Kosovo has fulfilled all visa liberalisation criteria.
