The Political Director of the British Foreign Office, Richard Moore, is expected to visit Kosovo next week, Gazeta Express has learned.
The British envoy Richard Moore is expected to arrive in Pristina on 134 March, and comes at the time Kosovo is facing pressure from the EU member countries and US on suspending tax on Serbian goods introduced by Kosovo Government in November 2018. The US sent on Saturday to Pristina Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, David Hale who met institutional leaders, president Hashim Thaci, prime minister Ramush Haradinaj and speaker of parliament, Kadri Veseli. On Monday, 11 March, two senior German officials are expected to visit Pristina and meet Kosovo leaders to discuss the tax issue and express German Chancellor Angel Merkel’s view that they are against the idea on exchange of borders. After the visit of the US and German envoys, also British Government will send its envoy in Pristina on 13 March, who is expected to make it clear the British Government’s position against the idea on correction of border, Gazeta Express reports. /GazetaExpress/
