Kosovo Assembly should ratify the Agreement on border demarcation with Montenegro as soon as possible, says Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha.
Minister Hoxha called on the Assembly of Kosovo to ratify the border deal, in order for the European Union liberalise visas for Kosovo citizens. During an interview with the daily Epoka e Re she said that Kosovo has no time to lose and should decide on the demarcation issue as soon as possible. She said that ratification of the demarcation Agreement will mark the end of isolation for Kosovo citizens. “Visa liberalisation is in the hands of Kosovo politicians,” she said. Hoxha said that members of Parliament who are elected by citizens should take decisions for the future of the country and ratify the border deal. Ratification of the Agreement on border demarcation is one of the last criteria for Kosovo to get visa liberalisation with the European Union.
