On 7 January the Kosovo Police (KP) have reported an incident between two groups which occurred in Mitrovica North. The fight happened in a cafeteria involving 15 men of Serbian nationality. Gazeta Express has learned that among those assaulted in this incident was also the KP chief of operations in this Serb-run municipality, Zeljko Bojic.

“Four people suffered light bodily injuries who while celebrating Orthodox Christmas in a cafeteria were physically assaulted by a group of ten suspects, Kosovo Serbs, who were drunk,” it is stated in the report of the Kosovo Police. However the police gave no further details related to this issue, but Gazeta Express has learned that members of a criminal group have assaulted the Kosovo Police (KP) chief of operations in Mitrovica North, Zeljko Bojic. Express has learned that Bojic was assaulted while celebrating Orthodox Christmas with his three sons, friends and family members at the cafeteria “Sfens” in the northern part of Mitrovica. At around around 15:30 a Serbian man called Uros Misic, who is considered fugitive in Serbia suspected of being involved in a murder, accompanied by ten other people, approached the Bojic’s family and started assaulting them physically. Reportedly the criminal group have caused light bodily injuries to people who were celebrating the Orthodox Christmas. /Express
