The European Commissioner for Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn, will visit Serbia on Friday, Belgrade daily Danas has learned.
Sources told the daily that Hahn will meet senior state officials of Serbia, including Serbian President, Aleksandar Vucic, to discuss solving Kosovo’s issue, situation in the Westenr Balkan region, and opening of new chapters for Serbia’s membership into the EU. Reportedly Hahn is expected to visit Tirana on Thursday. Sources told Danas that the EU is satisfied that “the months long political crisis in Kosovo has come to an end” and the fact that Serbian representatives, close to Belgrade officials, are part of Ramush Haradinaj’s Government. Kosovo Assembly voted in on Saturday new Government headed by Ramush Haradinaj ending thus political deadlock after 11 June election.
